Oat bread
An easy alternative to bread - this recipe uses rolled oats instead of flour.
Ingredients
4 cups rolled oats
2 cups low-fat unsweetened yoghurt
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 tablespoon baking soda
sunflower, sesame or pumpkin seeds (optional)
Method
1. Pre-heat the oven to 180 degrees celcius.
2. Mix the first four ingredients together in a large bowl. You can add a sprinkle of seeds here if you like.
2. Lightly grease a loaf tin and pour the mixture in.
3. Sprinkle with sesame, sunflower or pumpkin seeds.
4. Bake at 180 degrees for 40 minutes.
5. Serve fresh or toasted.
Notes
This bread freezes well, either as a whole loaf or sliced up.
