Hummus

A quick and easy recipe for the popular Middle Eastern hummus dip.
Ingredients
  • - 1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • - 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • - 2 tablespoons oil
  • - 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • - Juice of 1 lemon
Method
  1. 1. Place chickpeas, garlic, oil, pepper and lemon juice in a food processor or blender and whizz until smooth.
  2. 2. Refrigerate the dip until ready to serve.
  3. 3. Serve with vegetable sticks or oven baked tortilla chips.
Notes
Add a little more lemon juice if the hummus is too thick.
