Cheese sauce

This classic cheese sauce recipe will never get tired. A great accompaniment to any vegetable.
Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup grated cheese
Method
  1. 1. Heat oil in saucepan and add flour.
  2. 2. Stir and cook for approximately one minute.
  3. 3. Gradually add milk in small amounts, mixing until smooth.
  4. 4. Continue until all milk has been added.
  5. 5. Return to a low heat and bring to a simmer, stirring often.
  6. 6. Stir through grated cheese.
  7. 7. Season with salt and pepper.
